About

The infamous Michael Crafter started BGO in 2006 due to the lack of support for metal and hardcore online within Australia.
When he was young there were never enough sites to find interviews, photos, reviews, etc regarding hardcore/metalcore/punk/metal and the few Australian sites that were online were made up of idiots who had no idea regarding the genre’s they were covering.
Not long after it started in 2006 and developed a cult following….BGO went bust.
The site was dead for nearly two years until 2008 when Crafter, the then singer of Carpathian, was lurking the net for merch designers who would design something for nothing and would become his personal sweatshop design slaves.
He found two brothers, Mick and Andy Thomas, who looked like they knew their stuff and despite their popular status in the frankston nu metal scene, he chose them to design for him.
Not long after working on a few designs together Crafter was impressed with their tolerance of his ridiculous demands and lack of patience and decided to combine forces to get BGO online again.
After many setbacks BGO version 2 was finally launched in July 2008 and has been going strong since.
BGO is now an institution within the scene and is now is the only site u need to worry about for metal, punk and hardcore in Australia!
